  1. What do you want to use your air rifle for and what age are you?

If you are under eighteen it is now illegal for you to own an air rifle, whether you buy it yourself or it is given to you.

You can use your air rifle on your own property but you are committing an offence if your ammunition goes beyond the boundary of your property without the consent of the owner of the adjoining land.

This is only a small part of the regulations concerning air weapons - and without further information from you, I am unlikely to be able to assist you.

Let me have more information and I might be able to guide you in the right direction - provided that you are asking for the information for legal and legitimate reasons.

This one meets all of your criteria and more, it's also a very durable air rifle that comes with a lifetime warranty.

    BSA Lightning

I would recommend either of these if you're looking for a very high quality air rifle.

    Air Arms TX200

    Weihrauch HW80

  3. Have you not seen the news over the weekend about the your girl shot in the face  by an air pistol

  4. Budget?  Purpose?  Anyway,

Try airgunbbs.com , and you will see that there is no simple answer to your question.  First off, unless you have access to lots of private land then you really do need to join a club, you should do this anyway, if only to learn how to handle an air gun safely.  Any gun you get is going to be limited to 12 foot pounds of energy and most decent guns will be close to this limit, but expect to pay at least a hundred pounds for a half decent second hand spring gun.  If you want a quiet gun then any pre charged pneumatic gun can be fitted with a silencer, but these start at three hundred pounds.

Accuracy is a relative term, I expect my gun to hit the same pellet hole at 40 metres with every single shot (I dont, but the gun can) but for shooting cans in an informal environment you cannot beat the CO2 powered QB78 (google it),

Let me know what you want a gun for and I can give you more advice (hunting/10 metre target/field target etc)

but I can tell you now that you should not consider any ideas of hunting any live quarry until you learn an awful lot more about the subject and have become proficient at shooting your chosen gun, the best way to do this is to join a club

  5. there are many makes and models ,and many weights .you need to get permission from a land owner ,and learn to use the gun properly. ther are sites you can visit or magazines that will give you all the imfo you need.
