Im looking for a distortion program?

ok so i have an acoustic guitar and i stuck a mic in the guitar so when i plug the mic into the computer it sounds louder now i want it to change the way it sounds by distorting it like it would on a electric guitar

i don't want an editing software i want one that changes it as the waves come in and i strum them

sorta like a pedal but for the computer that works with the mic

Buy a Sound Blaster Audigy 4 or X-Fi card and use the effects in the EAX Console. (You need Windows XP for them to work, though.)
