Im looking for a good carry-on bag, any suggestions?

Im going to Alaska from Boston, a 15 hr flight with stop overs, and am looking for a good carry on bag. Lots of space but not too big.

never underestimate the classic connivance of a back pack

Check your airlines' carry on size and weight restrictions an get a bag that fits them. I don't know how to equate "lots of room with not too big", they kinda mean different things.

I use one that has a back pack attached.  I pull out of the back pack all electronics (in plastic bag) liquids (in plastic) and food (in plastic)

The guy at the airport said ..."you really know what you are doing"  

I did it this way because I could get more on the flight (like 2 carry ons!) becsue one was empty when it went through the xray.... than if I just carried a bag/ purse.

Roll all clothes.  And stay off the mud flats!
