I've heard H2ION is a good conditioner, but is also incredibly pricey. Does anyone have any suggestions or even home remedies. I know I should stop dying my hair to get the best results, but quite frankly that won't happen. So I need to find the best way to treat my hair instead. If any one has any information on H2ION or any other conditioners I'd really appreciate the knowledge.

  1. I use Biolage stuff. I think you can get it at Sally beauty supply or Great Clips. It really helped me (Head and Shoulders dried out my hair.). Be sure to read the directions before using it!

  2. i use herbal essences Hello Hydration COnditioner.

It makes my hair super soft, and puts moisture back in. It also smells great is VERY inexspensive! I love it!

I highly reccomend that, or any other Herbel essences shampoos and conditioners. There products work great, and smell great too!

  3. Since dyeing hair dries it out you just need something that moisturizes.  I use Pantene Moisturizing Conditioner for Women of Color.  African American hair is typically more dry then Caucasian hair so if you get a conditioner geared towards African American hair you will most likely get the results you want.  It also wouldn't hurt to put some extra moisture in it on a daily basis.  Pantene also has a oil cream Moisturizer for Women of Color, just be sure not to use to much as it will give you a wet look.

Pantene Women of Color line is usually on the shelves but it is in a Brownish- Redish color bottle.

  4. A good home remedy: mix a couple of eggs with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. (1-2 eggs for short hair, 3-4 for long hair) It's best to mix with a proper beater, because it combines the ingredients better, so it's not sloppy. Then comb the mixture through your hair, leave it in for 5-10 minutes, then wash it out in the shower. It refreshes dry and damaged hair. If you want, use a normal shampoo afterwards.) I would recommend you do this.

Dying your hair is really bad. Hair dyes are full of harmful chemicals which can lead to brain tumours and other horrible things, but they also can make you lose your hair later in life. I have a friend who is about 55, and she used to dye her hair all the time when she was younger, and she now has hardly any hair at all. She's very regretful of what she did and advises against anyone dying their hair frequently.

As far as store bought shampoos. I would also recommend Herbal Essence. They're really good and keep your hair nice and healthy.
