Im looking for a nice lightweight mountain/road bike? specificly the fuji absolute DX?

  1. fuji is way better. since they come from japan, you get much better components for the same price. plus they are trully lightweight, i have seen a race mt fuji bike running around 18 pounds


  2. Both are intended for pavement use only, since they all use skinny road bike wheels and tires.  Those won't work very well on dirt at all, but are great on pavement.

    Both are similar in terms of component quality, and it's just a matter of personal preference on the various differences, such as:

    - Kona Dew uses rapid-fire shifters while the Fuji Absolute uses grip shifters.

    - Kona Dew has a fixed stem while the Fuji Absolute has an rise-adjustable stem.

    - Kona Dew has smaller chainrings (48 teeth on the largest) vs. the Fuji Absolute (52 teeth on the largest).

    Choose the one with the features you like. (thumb shifters or grip shifters, adjustable stem, etc.).
