  1. Best source to find any price range and different types of cuisine (restaurants), ger a reveiw of the restaurant and many times even see what the menu & decor look like is www.opentable.com. It totally works we always use this site when we travel & are always amazed how seamlessly it works... good luck and bon apetit!

  2. The Rainforst cafe ....Its great

  4. Hi

London is home to the best restaurants in the world (some of, at least) and www.london-eating.co.uk gives excellent reviews.

If I were to go somewhere for decent quality, downhome food I'd try Bodeans in Soho - the best barbecue restaurant I've ever been to (and I did travel Texas for some time, in search of better) and at weekends they do free meals for kids

At the other end of the spectrum, La Trompette in Chiswick is one of the finest restaurants I have ever had the good fortune to visit and certainly at the early seatings - 6 or 6:30 - there are often children eating there.

In general most places are pretty kid friendly and if you don't like either of my recommendations, check on London Eating and phone ahead and ask what they are like.  Most places will be pretty up front with you.

Good luck and enjoy your dinner!

  5. What you need to look out for is just about any Italian restaurant in London.  All Italian restaurants are child friendly, Italians just love kids and know exactly what to do and keep them entertained.  The waiters are just brilliant at this game.

Any Italian restaurant, esp. Sunday lunch, is perfect for kids.

  6. If you're going during the afternoon go for Dim Sum in Chinatown!

Dim Sum is completely child and family friendly without being a theme park.  There are many dim sum restaurants along Gerrard Street (the main strip in Chinatown) that do this special lunch menu.

If you're unfamiliar with Dim Sum, its kind of like a Chinese Tapas, you get to pick and choose lots of smaller inexpensive dishes and share them around.

I tend to go to Golden Dragon and Gerrard's Corner.  But if you want one that has the traditional trolleys with the food being pushed by the waitress  (that way you can see what you've ordered and eat it immediately!) go to New World just off Gerrard Street.

Oh and its great value for money!

    Have fun!
