A better was is to jump on down to Oklahoma City and jump on the AMTRAK to Dallas then catch the Eagle direct to Chicago. You will have to stay over one night in Chicago and then the AMTRAK to NY the next afternoon

No Amtrak station in Tulsa, so you are going to have to get a bus to Kansas City and take a train from there - here are the details:

And when you layover in Chicago, you may have some time to kill.  Your in downtown Chicago, southwest Loop, 2 blocks west of the Sears Tower.   Talk to a travel agent or ask on Yahoo! answers for some fun tourist things to do for 2-4 hours.   Amtrak has a place you can leave your carry-on bags for the day.

Unfortinitly there is not a train station in Tulsa.  Although Amtrak does provide Bus service from Tulsa to Oklahoma City.  If you really want a nice trip and have the time.  I would take the bus to Oklahoma City, then catch the Heart Land Flyer to FT. Worth Texas.  Then, Catch the Texas Eagle to Chicago, Il.  And from there take the train to PENN Station.
