Im looking for an inexpensive, semi automatic rifle in 30-06 or higher, that uses magazines. any suggestions?

The BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) is probably your best bet.

That combo won't be easy to find. In fact, none come to mind that fits all that criteria.

You can get a 30-06 or higher in semi auto but it won't be cheap. You can get a 30-06 or higher for cheap but it won't be semi auto.

The only 30-06 semi-auto that comes to mind would be a semi-auto BAR. An M1 garand might work, but it's not magazine fed.

remington builds a pump and semi-auto that ues removable box mags....4 round, if memory serves

they used to build a bolt rifle on the 700 action with a mag too.

I dont know what cheap is for you... those 740/760/700 Remingtons push $400+ used

Sounds like you're looking for Browning BAR or Remington 7400 series rifle.

I like the BAR myself but it may slightly exceed the upper limits of your budget.
