Her friends were probably within 10 years of her age, so they were born 1872 - 1892. They are all dead by now.

If she was going to church / bridge club / YMCA / etc. up to the end, you'd have to find someone who had known her then and was still a member, 38 years later. The chances of there being such a person, AND having him/her read your question inthe 5 days it is up, are small.

Get her obituary, via a county genealogy board, going to the library or writing to the library. That is a start. If it mentions the Grady Rose Fanciers or the 1st Methodist Church or Little Old Ladies for Peace . . ., poke around to see if the organization still exists and write.

You could, if you lived in the area, visit her old neighborhood and ask at every house if anyone remembered her. Again, your chances of making a connection are small.
