it depends what car you have and also what kind of insurance you want to get, i live in lynnwood WA and i got my insurance about 7 months ago and i got the cheapest thing i could get and it cost me about 1200 for 6 months, and after i turned 18 about a month ago it went down to 1000 for 6 months, but what i did was instead of geting my car insured i got my liscence insured meaning i can drive anyones car i want and i will have insurance on it, of course what that means is that noone can drive your car, but i have a really chep insurance place, i dont know the name of the top of my head but if you want it let me know i can give you their location as well. good luck
