Honey, i don't know how helpful this will be, but every state has a board of education, and or on the web for Manhattan you should be able to look up Manhattan city public school system, there are also numbers you can get from the Board of Education for the information you need, or you can start with the phone book, which may take you a while.

    or you could go to the nearest highschool, they can provide you with list on where to take GED class, and fees if there are any. The department of human resources/social services can also help you with this information, or possibly give you referrals, to help pay for the classes.

    Try those first.
