I was at the store today and was looking for natural cat litter. I saw 3 different types. Cedar pellets, wheat, and corn litter. Which do you think is better?

  1. We (and the cats) have tried them all. Cedar smells nice when first opened, but makes a soggy mess. Clay is acceptable, but is dusty.

Upon recommendation from a friend, we tried the 'Worlds Best Cat Litter". It is made from corn. It clumps very well and has no odor. It is more expensive than other litters, but it lasts much longer. It is all natural and can be flushed. We love it.

  2. I haven't tried any of the ones you mentioned, but it would seem that the cedar may work better at odor control.  I've tried the newspaper stuff and the crystal stuff, but I am back at the clay-based clumping litter. It does the job and the smell is controlled.

  3. The corn kind is the best. It clumps and scoops easily, doesn't leave dust, and is good about controlling odors. It is a lot more expensive, but it works really well.

  4. My cats use the litter that is made of recycled newspapers.  Petco sells it.  You have to scoop more frequently bcause it doesn't deoderize very well but they also can't track it out of the box.

  5. i like the scoopable kinds with little dust and usually made from clay
