  1. Just bid on the car you want:

  2. Either way...whatever anyone says on here... the one thing you must keep in mind is the ABSOLUTE TOTAL!.  Depending on where you are from...tax title and liscensing can most certainly cause you to go over YOUR ABSOLLUTE TOTAL.  If you are looking to only pay 17,800....negotiate from the stand point that they are at least going to charge you 20% interest alone...now add another about 3000 fot ttl to that.  $24300 over 60mths is roughly $405 or more a month.  They will s***w you if you let them.  You have to give them your definite bottom line and tell them what you are willing to pay a month.  If they cannot agree...step away.  Most definitely someone will call you back and try to work with you or you will find something better down the road.  Set your monthly payment NOW and do not...I repeat...DO NOT allow them to tell you something higher.  REMEMER MY FRIEND...ABSOLUTE TOTAL!!!

  3. 1.  Always buy from a dealership during the last couple of days of a month.  They have quotas that they need to hit so they are willing to make a better deal on the last few days of the month.

    2.  If you have good credit have your financing already set up before you go into the dealership.  Check the website of the manufactuer.  They may have the ability to have you pre approved before you go in.

    3.  The most important thing, don't back down!  Dealerships spend thousands and thousands every month of television and radio adversiting.  Knocking a few thousand off the price for you is not a big deal.  And, with the current economy no matter what they say people are not running to the car lot to spend money.

    Hope this helps

  4. possess as much information as you could maybe is one of the options, however it is quite time consuming, here is the resource i have ever had good experience.http://car-price.bestips.info/free-quote...

  5. Tell them what your price is and give them your contact info and go home.  If they haven't sold the car and the time of the month comes around where they get desperate to move it they will call you.  If they can sell it for more they would rather do that though so they are not likely to go "okay" the first time you walk in there.  You're asking almost 4000 under MSRP which puts it well under invoice.  The car's would have to have trouble selling for then to let it go for that low.

  6. Don't negotiate. Go to edmunds.com and get multiple quotes at once. If you really want a rock bottom price, start from $17,500, and go upwards. If the price they want is higher than you want, leave the dealership and go to the next one.

  7. Go to yahoo autos.  Search for your vehicle.  Leave all  models on your list for that year and print list of invoice prices.  That way you will have it for reference at the dealership and they cannot charge you more for say a base model should be.  Also dealers can generally go from $200-$400 above invoice.  They can!!!  And they will still be making  $$ no matter what they say.  Once your price is negotiated, then allow them to run your credit.  If they will not work on the price, just walk away.  Don't waste your time, either they will stop you on your way out the door, or they have your information if they want to call you back.  Good Luck!!!

  8. Some 30,000 cars now are only marked up 1000 now ( Pontiac G8), doubt a 21000 car is marked up 4000).

2.5 S altima automatic  is marked uo 1300 or so ( I sell these), you low balled us and walked out, we may call you back once and asked you if you came to your senses, but can't afford a 4000 discount on a car. Maybe look at Good Will or The Red Cross??

  9. well if that is the price that you are willing to pay then go to the dealer and tell them that and let them know what car you want. if at first they don't agree...leave. i know it sounds crazy but it worked for me cause 10 minutes after i left the dealership they called me back and said they would accept. try it, it won't hurt all they can say is no.
