  1. Compact digital cameras usually have weak flashes good only for a few feet (less than 10 ft.).  I have a Canon compact digicam.  The flash is OK for most situations.

If you really want a powerful flash, you might have to go for a D-SLR and buy a separate and powerful flash unit.  Nikon and Canon are tops in D-SLRs.

  2. Hi,

Canon brand is the best! Nikon is also good.

Check the link below to compare prices and see detailes.

They all have a very good flash.

  3. get a Kodak! They're great and have prices 4 everyone!

  4. Ya, the best you can get with simple cameras are the Canons, but if you really want good night shots your gonna have to buy the big guns! oh, but still buy canon!

  5. I would suggest looking for a used professional SLR Digital Camera. The SLR cameras are so fun to shoot with...you can get different lenses for them...I suggest trying a cheap generic fisheye...It is fun :-)

You can buy an expensive professional SLR Digital Camera that sold for thousands a few years ago for a few hundred bucks today. They still have the same great quality they did when they were thousands of dollars...

My recommendation is a Canon...maybe a d30 or even a d10 is a great camera...also really affordable now...but the choices in accessories is great! Battery grip, flash, filters and lenses...so fun to play with....It has a nightshot mode for amazing shots....it fires the flash but leaves your shutter open for a few mil-seconds longer to capture the surrounding light...they look beautiful...great for fireworks or Xmas lights...

It is a great way to get a great professional digital camera that takes amazing shots...they are better than the consumer digital cameras. They are also alot more fun to use with different lens choices.....

I purchased 2 cameras from http://photographersadvantage.com and have been very pleased with my new found hobby!

Good luck and happy shooting :-)
