  1. i don't know your water temp but you could use like a 3/4 for most conditions

  2. Tricky without a location and a idea of activity though if you can look into water temperatures yourself use this as a guide:

    Board-shorts: 22C and above

    Shorty: 18C -22C

    3/2:  13C - 18C

    4/3: 10C - 13C

    5/3: 10C and below

Also to complicate things you can also get variations like short legs and long arms and vice versa. Also when the temperature gets to  below about 11 or 12 degrees you might want to wear boots gloves or a hood.

Companies like Patagonia have also pioneered suits that can be much thinner in colder temps giving greater flexibility.

With regard to brands it's difficult as all companies have different selling points, whether it be flexibility, weight or warmth.

I swear by Oneills Psycho 2, though I've also been wearing a Billabong Solution Platinum which is incredibly light. I'm also keen to try a Patagonia wetsuit though they are tricky to get hold of in Europe.

Hope this helps. If you want to post more information on your location I'll be able to be more specific.

  3. We can't help you, because we don't know where you will be using it, and the seasonal air/water temperatures there. If you are saying year-round, does that mean that you will be using someplace where it is cold, year-round? Why do you want it? Do you surf? Water Ski? Scuba Dive? Body Board? Fill in the blanks.

  4. you ask that question without mentioning the temp of the water or even location. KOOK

  5. As light as you can be comfortable all year round...I guess.

As for brands c**p!They vary from locale to locale some good local heroes out there....I could give a better answer if i had a bit better question
