Im looking to buy a mrudangam in india. what should i look for to get a good quality one?

my moms going to india in a few days and shes getting me mrudangam. ive self taught myself for 2 years, with no teacher, and now i want to get myself a mrudangam from india. how do i know whats a good quality mrudangam from mysore/bangalore? please help me out?

  1. Mrudhangam is a  percussion instrument , especially an

    accompaniment to classical South Indian vocal and or instrumental music.

    Better ask your mother to buy it from a store which sells

    classical instruments at Chennai ( South India).
