Im looking to buy a skim board but im unsure of which type to buy. can someone ofer advice?

Im just a beginner so i want to be able to try and do a few tricks but basically just want to skim along the film of water in the shallows. do u purchase a fiberglass board or a wood board. Ive only seen these two types.

go with wood. they're tougher. dont break as easily.
