  1. there will be those that will disagree with men now that Mercedes has separated itself from Chrysler (USA) I would opt for the Mercedes. The answers that you receive in here are going to be purist's for the most part If a guy likes one over the other it is because they think that one is better than the other but in the real world they are both very fine autos and you will not go wrong in either case, but I  am one of those purists also and lived in Germany for a number of years and really like the German built cars
