Id like to lease a Boeing 737 for my airline, and as much to my knowledge, i know many aircraft that are available for lease are owned by banks, and many banks are practically happy to give away aircraft for free because it means that the banks dont have to pay for the 'parking' on an airfield and dont have to pay the maintenance etc, whowever many leasers and banks do lease for a sum of money often ££££'s every month, and was wondering what the upfront margin is on a 3 - 5 year lease, is there anyone in here that is top notch on aviation as id like to know if there is anyone that knows of any other leasers other than GATX as GETCO that can offer discounted lease terms, and is a 'lease fee' negotiable?

  1. Can't be done.

Very few 737-100s were built. Only Continental Airlines and Lufthansa used them

All were grounded years ago and most have been scrapped.

Even if you can find one it will never make current noise regulations and conversion would cost more than the aircraft would be worth.

737-200's might be available but also fail noise regulations.

There are plenty of 737-300 series available. which might last a few more years.

Some early 737NG are becoming available which would make a better possibility.

    Lease fees are always negotiable

  2. hi you

i have some bad news for you Boeing 737-100 and 737-200 i know for sure cant be got no more this is due to noise and smock laws that are now enforce you still mite get your hands on a 737-300 to lease  but when doing so there is 3 ways that planes and/or jet are lease out to airlines and other interested parties (1) wet leased with is with full crew (2) damp leased with is with the pilots only and (3) dry leased which is just the plane and in all cases you have to look after the maintenance of the place i am not joking here as odd as my answer may look i am into aviation
