  1. First off, as you know, getting confirmed is a big event that happens at the Catholic Church.  It's a special sacrament.  All the Sacraments are very special; however, getting confirmed and the Sacrament of Holy Orders are wonderful!!!  Before I answer your question, let me tell you this, as I'm sure you're aware, to recieve a sacrament, one must be called by God.  It shouldn't be viewed as a requirement.  They are a requirement to an extent; however, it needs to be from God that you recieve this sacrament.  You need to understand, study, and Pray if you're ready for it.  Pray about your question.  You should pick a Saint name.  I'm glad you asked; however, it should be up to you.  Research some Saints.    That is my advice to you.  God bless and best of luck with recieving the Sacrament of Confirmation!

  2. There is a website that has a comprehensive list of saints listing their patronage, feast days etc. I am currently preparing a niece for her confirmation and she chose Kateri as she has a connection with the environment. My confirmation name Cecilia was chosen because I loved music and she is the patron saint of musicians. You will have no trouble finding a saint to connect with from the link below..

God Bless and all the best for your upcoming confirmation.

  3. Pick Joan of Arc.  She was a teenage martyr....the movie was good... and I picked her when I got confirmed :0)

  4. thomas

  5. I picked a name because I liked it and I knew no one with that name.  But that was a very long time ago.

Do you realize you posted this in Special Education, dealing with educating those with cognitive and developmental disabilities?  Religion and spirituality might be a better place next time.

  6. Find a saint that you can relate to.
