  1. Keep it simple:  You don't want to have a zillion bottles of this/that and have the possibility of toxic fumes...

    Have:

Microfiber clothes... They are CHEAP reuseable and do a great job on windows!  Less waste then papertowels... Good for dusting, cleaning glass/windows, countertops, drying dishes, polishing,

A few Brillo non-scratch sponges- GREAT for just about any chore... I use mine to clean the bath tub, sinks, and tub/tile surround...

Brooms/dustpans/vacuum-If you have a wet/dry shopvac those are very handy to reach high, and pick-up wet/dry messes!  If your vacuum needs bags have extra... If you vacuum takes belts have extra and know how to change.....

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser- Good for painted surface *Test on no-show area and use a gentle pressure or it will take off the surface!  Also good for bathroom....

Big bottle of vinegar.... GREAT diluted with water in a spray bottle for windows, woodwork, cabinets, hardwood, laminate floors....  Good for also washing the walls...It's also extrememly cheap and no harsh chemicals/fumes...

Baking soda is GREAT for deodorizing carpets.... Sprinkle liberally and leave on overnight vacuum the next day....It's also very, very cheap and not harsh....

A couple buckets and good mops... .I like the libman wonder mop.... It's great lightweight and has removeable heads that can go into the washing machine....

Soft Scrub.. Good for stainless steel, bathroom tub, sinks, tub/tile surround....

Toilet brush and toilet cleaner like LYSOL....

For convience I do like LYSOL, CLOROX, MR. CLEAN antibacterail wipes... .Great to have to keep things tidy/neat...

    Trash Bags....

If you must have a chemical type cleaner I use Formula 409- it's great for countertops, appliances, tub/tile.... Just about anything.... Except wood surfaces....

Plege is good for wood, stainless steel, leather, granite, marble....

If you have wood floors... Orange-Glo hardwood kit.. First mop floor with vinegar/water and let dry.. Then do a once over with the hardwood kit...

    Goodl uck

  2. 409 works wonders, mildew remover I would go with CLR for the first deep cleaning, bleach for the toilet and tub, S.O.S. scrubbers, carpet freshener, wall mop (i attached the w*p mop on a swifter sweeper and did the ceilings,  Windex, clean the window screens too that helps cut back on dust...

  3. hello,  i've done that many times and what i like to do is find just a couple of products that are multi-purpose, like comet and some kind of spray.   i also like to take plenty of sponges, paper towels, and some kind of abrasive scrubber for tough spots, like  pumice.  of course, a vacuum or a mop or both, some windex, and that should be about it!  (i'd have the carpets professionally cleaned if there are carpets).

  4. Common Sence should tell you what you will need. What do you use now to clean with? Just take a minute to think about it and you should have the answers. What ever cleaners you like to use.

  5. it is best to do some work now before you move in , if you are planning to paint wash the walls down with TSP if not wash them down with Lysol. If you have carpets clean just around the area where you  will put the furniture, leaving the high traffic area for after you have moved in , people will track dirt from outside so it is best to do this after , you could rent or have your own steam cleaner or have someone come in . Windows, wash them all before putting up drapes, curtains or blinds, Windex and paper towels. For the kitchen wash the cupboards down with Lysol  , spray the hood down with Fantastic and remove the blade to rid of the grease you might need to soak it in hot water and laundry detergent to loosen the grease , it all depends if the house was well kept before , always keep some bleach under the counter to disinfect dish cloths or the counter . For the bathroom use Lysol , and keep bleach in there as well to clean out the toilet bowl a,sink, and tub . we all have certain products that we like the best when cleaning , as long that you have the basics this will get you started .

    garbage bags

    mop,

    pail
