  1. If they try and make you repeat year 10, have your parents fight it. There is no reason for it and may actually be illegal based on your age or grades.

As for making friends, what worked for me was getting to know my neighbors in class or finding a club that I enjoyed. I wish I could say it is easy, but half the time it isn't. Just get out there and go to some school events or even ask teachers which kids are good to get to know. many schools have a group of students who will help you make a connection with the kids and the school culture.

As for bullying, it is disgusting people do it, but some do. As you build your group of friends, they will help buffer any bullying. Until then, the best thing to do (in my opinion, I got bullied all through school) is avoid those kids and never allow them the satisfaction of knowing they are getting to you. Then, find someone you trust to vent to. Find the "cool" teacher because they usually have great skills in getting those kids off your back without anyone knowing you asked for help. All I can really offer is the likely outcome that things will get much better in college and life. People will love you for who you are and will care less what you look like.

Most of all, stay positive, keep asking questions and planning ahead like you seem to be, and focus on all the wonderful things year 11 will bring.

  2. Bullying should be reported; it is against the rules and illegal.  You can be prosecuted for bullying someone... everyone has the right to be left alone.  Don't worry about it... but deal with it should it occur.  Report it to a teacher and especially to your parents.
