  1. I suggest you stay at the Moon Palace. You Can eat this restaurant called Bugambilias (Bu-gam-bi-li-as) It is good. you have to try it if you stay at Moon Palace. You could also go to Isla Muejuers and swim with the Dolphins there. When I went with my family in '06 we did the Dolphin Swim. they have 2 kinds of swimming with the dolphins. one of them is the Royal Swim. That one they pick you up with there noses. and the other one is the encounter. That one is for like Adults that have little kids. you could go snorkeling there in Isla Muejueres.

another place you could go to Is Xpu-ha. There you can see animals,go canoeing, and go in the pool. Also you can Canoe, they give you a choice of Canoeing or snorkeling there, also. But there the water is dirty. my dad went snorkeling there and in isla mujerues. That was one of Palaces me and my family stayed at the first time we went to Cancun.

If you need to book a flight, go to:

                                     www.travelocity.com

                                     there the deals are good.

Hope this info helps, and Hope you stay at Moon Palace.

                             Hope you get great Service.

Have fun in Cancun with ur family!!

  2. Sounds  like you are moving to a place you do not know well...might need to slow down a bit.  Are you an American citizen? Do you nave a visa allowing you to reside in mexico? Do you plan to work...know you need  a work permit?  I just want to be sure you are prepare for the reality of the move.  I have seen many questions on here from people who want to "move' to Cancun who did not know they cannot just"move" to Mexico and cannot work there..so that's what makes me wonder.

  3. Cancun is fairly Americanized...

We have 3-Walmarts, Office Depot, Sam's Club, Costco, Office Max, Home Depot plus a lot of Mexican chains.

Food: Soriana, Mega, Chedraui and others.

Hotels: Hotel Zone is filled with them plus there are many nice ones downtown.

Beaches: Yes, kilometers and kilometer white sand.

Airport: Cancun International Airport, second busiest airport in Mexico.

There are several local websites that may be of interest to you. Cancunassist and Cancuncare, both dot Com's.

Where are you planning to live? What are you going to do while here?
