Im moving to Montana and want to move by good Public Hunting Grounds?

Next spring, Im moving to montana and want to be near some quality public hunting grounds for large game as well as upland game. Is anybody familiar with any areas. Were looking at Missoula but im concerned that I will get stuck driving 8 hours just to loose an arrow.

I am from Columbia Falls, Montana. If you want good hunting, you will get it in Montana. Missoula is about 100 miles from Columbia Falls but half way between both is the best hunting anyone could want. Go to the Bob Marshell Wilderness. You can only go there by hiking or horses, either way you will get huge game.  You will love it. I do recommend getting a horse because packing out will be tough. Fun fun!!
