  1. I'm a "purpleholic too"

    Here is a suggestion....

Make a design like a group of flowers or a landscape that has different shades of purple plus  a toned down yellow as the background color since it's the opposite on the color wheel....it will be very pleasant to the eye...use this design when you enter your home...in a spot where your eyes go first.....a main wall or over a doorway in the entrance hall...it can be abstract like a Jackson Pollack painting..drips and drops with streaks.... .or a line up of trees or mountains..something simple just as long as the colors are right.

After you have this done,...take different shades and hues of these colors and use them in each room.....throughout the house...that way it goes together smoothly  and feels connected....not big strong pure purples that feel harsh but are soft and that you can live with for a long time.

I suggest you get a "color wheel" at your local craft store or paint shop...then take some paint chips samples and  bring them home...lay out different groupings keep looking at them for a couple days...then you will find which ones you enjoy the most and can live with.

These colors you like can be done in each room sparingly or as much as you like. Make a diagram on paper....with different shapes with colored pencils or markers...so you get a feeling for what you want.....like down a narrow hallway you might want....this ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ just wavy lines..about the height of 6 ft.....well I think I've said enough . Hope something here helps you out.

    Best of Purple luck!

  2. If you would like to have some tones of purple, they will work great with many green tones such as a sage so your not just locked into one color.  The color theory behind this is a "triad complement" theme.  You can also use any neutral colors such as white, creme, or aspen for your ceilings and/or trim.

  3. If you have a neutral color throughout your home, such as a creme, beige etc., you could use this as a trim color in your bedroom to tie it into the rest of your house.
