el grullo, mexico in jalisco. how much is it monthly for the hotel corona or camino de real? can i stay for 6 months ? what is there to do there ?(not much of a tourist city) and better yet, how much would i need a month in u.s. dollars ?

You're correct,El Grullo is not a tourist city but it is a great,typically Mexican town. I've been there many times.

Why have you decided to go there if you don't know anything about it?

Yes, you can stay in Mexico for a maximum of 180 days on a tourist visa but you will have to ask the immigration official as they are usually issued for only 90 days.Both of the hotels you mention have their addresses and phone numbers listed on the internet,why not just write or call them? How much you need on a monthly basis is something only you can accurately determine. I will say that you have chosen two hotels that are much too expensive for me when I am traveling.There are many other less expensive options available in and around El Grullo.
