1. Well I don't know about being held back a year because when I moved here to Atlanta from Mexico I was ahead a year, if you speak and write spanish then I suggest you go, if not go any way that way your spanish and your writting will improve! ! Have fun, I hope you go.

 2. if you wanto to go to hermosillo, go

 3. Do you speak Spanish fluently? Will you be able to attend school there? If so, you actually may be put back a yr. in Hermosillo as Mexican schools are often ahead of American schools. Ask your Mexican cousins to ask at the school if they would give you a placement test, or if they would just put you into the next grade and see how you do. Remember, even if you speak Spanish, you will have Spanish in school and need to be able to conjugate verbs and know all the grammar rules. Also, talk to the school district there in Phoenix and ask if, when you return and have copies of your school records in Mexico, you can go into your regular grade...or if they would give you a placement test. even if it happens that it would add a year to your schooling, it would be an educational experience for you and you may decide it is worth it. My grandson from Colorado spent a year with me in Veracruz and I homeschooled him. He went back to Colorado and was ahead of his classmates and re-entered school with no problems. I kept careful records, but they simply took our word for it that he had completed his grade. Of course if he had immediately not been able to keep up, they may have put him back . I believe this is a great opportunity for you...even if it takes an extra year...and you should take the opportunity.

 4. well, my advice is to go to Mexico! it could be a really great life experience to experience the lifestyle there for a year! Your only graduating a year later than scheduled... so go for it!

 5. I live in mexico, in sonora also! Mexico has so much to offer! give it a one year try! It's super rich in culture, art, people, etc. ^^

 6. Go to mexico and if you are a dual citizen you can go to school in Hermosillo so you dont have to get held back...also it would look good on a college trancript because you would kind of be like a foreign exchange student.

 7. Awesome, i hope you have fun! just please be careful around night clubs and such, or walking around after dark please. Watch the movie called Borderland, its true, and that stuff still happens today in Mexico. Stay safe and i hope you have fun! i sure love it there when i visit :D
