Im planning on moving to the UK in the upcoming years. I have decided that becoming a pilot is what i want to do. Does it matter if i train here or there?

  1. As you are from the US unless you have a skill that is in high demand here you simply will not be allowed to come here to work.  On that basis you would be better off training there, getting some experience, and then applying for a position here.

(because we are in the EU, all citizens of the EEC (European Economic Area) take precedence over any vacancies going over here)

See this site for more info on working in the UK...

  2. Train in the USA - It's cheaper.

  3. definelty do your training before attempting to come here. for one i don't think you will be accepted into the country without any skills as sarch has already pointed out, plus training will be cheaper in the U.S

you may even struggle to get into the UK even after training, as i read somewhere for every open Pilot position there are over a thouand applicants applying for it, so it may not be classed as a skill we are in desperate need of in the UK, and you may not be granted a Visa for it

    but you can always try

  4. dosent mater, train where you want. If you really desperate to get to the UK train here even though it will probs be more expensive in Britain. I would stay in the states to train as it will be cheaper to be honnest.
