Im moving to toronto this wednesday and im going into grade 9 and what are some good schools.?

I like basketball so preferably a school that has basketball

You cannot pick and choose what school you go to.  You have to go to one in your school district which is wherever you are living.  Find out which high schools are in your area and research them and then decide which one you want to enroll in.

If you try now, you can probably get into a school that has open option attendance, which means, if you have a good reason for it you can attend any school you want within the city. If you have an older or younger sibling that goes to a particular school then chances are you can get into that school.

Every high school in Toronto has basketball! Whether they are good or not is a different question!lol. You can tune into Citytv at 6 to watch the latest high school basketball games and to ascertain which teams are the best. Except being as it is summer, I don't think there are many playing right now. You can always look up the standings on the net and figure out what schools have consistent performance as well as academic standing. You don't want to go to a ghetto school that just happens to have a good basketball team...that will do more harm than good. Opt for somewhere in Forest Hill or North York.

If you gave us an idea of the area (not the exact address of course) of which part of Toronto you'll be in, then we can probably tell you the good schools from the not so good schools.

Students attend the  school nearest to their home address, so you will go to the one that thhe school board sends you to.

Most schools have basketballl, but I'd be more interested in the academic program. Basketball won't help you to make a livng as an adult, but graduating from grade 12 sure will.
