  1. If you have to try to let people that you are nineteen than you are not acting nineteen.!

  2. You just have to let it go. People still treat me like a child, and I'm 21, married and pregnant. I think the more you argue that you are an adult, the more they view you as a child. Though I am now getting to the point where I am telling people "I am an adult, so please address me as one." Because it does get frustrating when people treat you like you are their 10 year old child.

    Just hang in there!

  3. Don't tell them, show them.  If you want to be treated like an adult you have to act like one.  And the first thing you should do is show them that it doesn't bother you.

A lot of people will still treat you like a kid well into your twenties, especially people who've known you most or all of your life.  You may as well get used to it.  Just don't give them a reason to treat you like a kid and for the most part, if you are acting like an adult, they will treat you like one.

  4. Hi,

Nineteen you may be, but the question is are you, do you act like it? ?  Are you mature in the decisions you make? ? Do you make the best choices for yourself? If after really thinking about that. . . . and if you come up with "no". Then I guess you know why others treat you that way.

Sorry, sometimes the truth may hurt.

  5. Have you tried dressing more like an adult?? People usually treat you the way you look and act, or they just think they are superior and treat people like kids.
