‘I’m not Harry Potter!’ Luis Enrique optimistic ahead of the new season but making no guarantees
Newly appointed A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 manager, Luis Enrique, has told the owners that he needs few more new players and insists that success is not guaranteed even then.
Enrique was appointed as the head coach of the first team squad this summer, as the new owners of the club believe that he can implement Barcelona style game at the Stadio Olimpico Rome. The former Barcelona B manager has shown
visible signs that he means business at the club. Enrique has not only reformed the training procedure but has also changed the dining habits of the players.
The 41-year-old has told his players that he knows only one style of football and that is attacking game. The manager has attracted all the spot light and everyone is looking forward to see his team perform in the upcoming campaign.
After being questioned about his expectations about the new season, the manager refused to draw any targets and claimed that he is still looking for more players to complete his preparations for the new project. The tactician added
that he will try to bring instant success at the club but also refused to guarantee it.
Talking to the reporters Enrique said, “I don’t have a crystal ball and I’m not Harry Potter! We are still missing some players and those who don’t identify with the project would do better to leave. I am optimistic based on what
I have seen in training. I really like the attitude of the players.”
“We’re working to create a new squad and I can’t say how many players are still missing. We do need a few, but I don’t want to give clues here as to our reinforcements. I’ll speak about it privately with director Walter Sabatini.”
