  1. You don't have to.

If you can find a sexual health clinic, they're confidential. In a lot of places, it's totally free.

Google for more info. (if you were from America, I could help you more, but I don't know about s*x clinics in England)

  2. Tell your mom that you are having extremely painful periods and print out some information from the internet that shows that the pill can help regulate your period and symptoms of your period.  Good Luck and be careful!

  3. If you need to ask your mother then you're not ready to be having s*x.

  4. Go to the Brook, or just go to the doctors.

    Thats what they're there for

  5. hii. i had this same problem. (im 17 f uk) you dont have to ask your mum, its private with your doctor.  If your very upfront with your mum you should tell her, if not dont. It doesn't really matter then you'd be super protected- with condom and pill =] im not saying theres not a chance of pregnancy, but its pretty slim

    :) good luck

  6. To be honest there's no way you can mention birth control pills to your mom & she wont become sceptical about it.. so if you really want to go on the pill I suggest that you rather talk to an adult that you trust or an older friend..

  7. Well, how old are you? I'd actually consider it if my daughter asked at like 15-17, after that she can do it herself, but before that is just too young to go on the pill in my opinoin. I just think that by 15-17, you're probably going to have s*x, weather adults like it or not. But 14 is just too young. Ask your mom and either be truthful - that you had s*x and were afraid of pregnancy, and you want to have as much protection as possible. Or lie - that you want to be prepared for when you are ready to have s*x. She'll hopefully understand.

Btw - I just found out you're 14. I honestly think that's too young for s*x, you should put it off for a year or two.

  8. Not only is s*x ill-advised for someone your age, but the pill is as well. Think about your reasons. If they are really to prevent pregnancy, you would still need to use condoms to prevent sexually-transmitted diseases. If they are to regulate your period, then you should talk to your mum about that. Perhaps there is an underlying reason why you aren't having regular periods.

Perhaps you should allow your mother to accompany you to the doctor.

  9. Say you want to for shorter periods.

  10. Tell your mom that your periods are painful and heavy and you heard that if you got on the pill that it would help them become more regular and more managable. A doctor will agree to that comment.

    Good luck.

  11. There are benefits of birth control, like it helps control acne, it helps reduce the risk of ovarian cancer, it regulates your period and makes it flow lighter, tell her that you want it for those reasons :)

  12. You could just explain to your mom your periods are irregular and it will help with cramps and bloating and you wont have to keep guesing when it will come.

  13. Planned Parenthood will give you some.
