  1. It is very easy to get addicted to anything. I would advise downloading one of the poker sites and they have 'play money' chips on there where you can play for free, but you can't win money with these, just 'play chips'. You can learn that way. Then if you like it and you find that you are improving, there are 'freerolls' that you can play, these are usually free to enter and you could win some money. Then you can progress onto the 10cent tourneys/tables and go from there. You will know by then whether you want to continue with your poker career!

  2. I think every player who is serious about learning poker should play for real money, but you don't need to spend $500 a month doing it. And you won't win thousands a month, at least not until you get really good.

Just play the cheapest stakes available. Move up one level at a time, but not until you can consistantly beat the level you're playing. Moving up too quick is a great way to go broke. Poker is a long journey, not a get rich quick scheme.

  3. The problem I can see with your plan is that the other fellows will also aim to win a few thousand $.... from you!

  4. I've never met a rich gambler.

  5. Get some good advice on how to play until you gain the experience needed to win. This will take a long time, but there is a shortcut called the Texas Holdem Dynamic Point Count Super Strategy.

    Check it out here:

    http://www.thedoverpro.com/poker.htm

  6. Stay away from online gambling......I know a few people who've lost ALOT!!

If you want to get 'good' at poker, you won't learn it by reading a book.  That's like saying you'll be a good surgeon by reading about surgery.  You need to get out there and play....ALOT!!!  Find some small games...ask around, don't wager much when you start playing.  Get in bigger games if you start getting better.  That's the only way to learn poker....by playing it, because there are too many variable that you just can't describe in writing (urges, feelings, bluffs, rebluffs, blind-bluffs, bluffing the pot, bluffing your bluff, playing the pot against different players, things you might be good at that others aren't, things others are good at that don't work for you, etc).  It takes time too, but you should be able to see the progress as you keep playing (not by winning money either...but by OUTPLAYING other opponents).

  7. start out at the lowest stakes games.  if you do well there, slowly move up.  if you dont, stop for good and go get a job.

  8. I think you will lose all your money very quickly.

For every winner, there are thousands of losers.

  9. It can be done, but it won't be easy.  Here's what I suggest:

    1. Don't use your own money.  You can get free money if you've never played before.  Try http://www.pokersourceonline.com/free-po... and http://www.yourpokercash.com/?addby=a389...  Keep looking,  there are plenty of other places to get money.

    2. Decide what game you want to play and focus on it.  Since you are new, I'd suggest you play either sit and go or limit  holdem.  Starting online with no limit holdem is a recipe for disaster.  This, however, may be the exception since you have so little money.  You might want to go with a short stack strategy for NLHE as you learn.  It's very formulaic, and will keep you out of trouble in the beginning. It's also very boring, but it will win for you if you stay disciplined.

    3. Start at very low levels and always keep 20 buyins on hand.    Meaning, if you get $50, you can only buy in $2.50 and play a short stack strategy. I would suggest the nickel dime tables to begin with.

    4. Invest your money in books.  Try Harrington on Cash games for NLHE, Harrington on holdem for Tournaments, and

Sklansky's  theory of hold'em for LHE.

Also, read everything you can on poker in general on the internet.  The 2+2 forums and flopturnriver are also good places to start.

You need to study the game.  This will NOT be easy.

    5.  Once you've played at the lowest levels and consistently win (7 out of 10 cash game sessions, cash in 5 out of 10 sit and gos), you may want to consider making a deposit for bonus purposes.

It bears repeating that this will not be easy.  90-95 percent of online holdem players are breakeven or losers, but you can win.  Keep in mind, nearly all of the players you are against have been playing for quite some time, and you're not going to be the best player at the table most times.  Stay at the lower levels and work your way up.  If you're not disciplined and patient enough to do that, you're not patient enough to win.

    Good luck!

  10. its a gamble youl probably loose more money than you make!

  11. Yeah totally agree with ya there is alot of money to be made from gamling i play a good bit of poker online and really enjoy it,i did spend about a month at the start just learning about it and love it make sure you learn all you can before you can and you'll just fine, best of luck!!

  12. It is impossible to give you an opinion since I don't know your skill level or intelligence level. Poker is easy to beat yet most people lose because they are retarded.

If you are good at it then yes I think it is a good idea. Even if you just break even but are willing to put in a lot of hours you can make about $120k though the loyalty program. Obviously if you could win that would even bet better but with the loyalty program as a backup.

  13. No... Gambling looses money! It really does!

One thing that I use to get free money is called my search funds. It works!

The info it needs to work is: A name, A country (e.g. UK, USA etc...) and an email address. It also need a PayPal Address.

Right... Every time you search, you get money! And it works through google! So, you search... you get money! IT WORKS AND IS 100% FREE!!!

I have checked MaAfee and norton and there is nothing wrong with it and there are loads of revies that say it works really well!

  14. sounds like you are going to be REALLY broke. don't play with money you really need.

  15. Theres plenty of people out there doing just the same.  I would recommend you use this site as they have fewer players than others so it's easier to win. http://www.dollar4dime.com I won a bundle at the weekend, Yippee

  16. if its a good idea, everyone would be doing it and there wouldnt be websites for poker because the companies would be broke

    so ask yourself this

why are there online poker wesbites?

a bookies on nearly every corner

    casinos everywhere in cities

and why are there places for broke people that are addicted to gambling,

so no lovely it isnt a good idea

  17. you can't get rich from gamling

you win once but you lose 100 times..and once you get into gambling, you won't believe the addiction...i knew some guy that sold his house to fund his gambling funds and now his has nothing..

keep clear or you will fall into the trap.

  18. You need to do plenty of reading. have you heard about Annette Obrestad -  she became world champion at the age of 18 and never deposited a cent into her account because she started playing freerolls. Read more about her here http://www.squidoo.com/annette-15 or her blog at http://betting.betfair.com/annette_15/

  19. 99.9% of full time gamblers end up broke.

The only way to make money is hard work, you won't be given it for free.

If you are going to waste you money at least save your self some time and just flush it all down the toilet.
