Im not shure if i have started my periods or not yet..?

Question

last month i was bleeding for 5 days i thought it was my periods( i not started them before this) but a few days before i remember putting a tampon up myself to see if it hurt...have i started my periods or has the tampon done something...? x

I only wear tampons when my period's heavy enough, even if you want to experiment, you shouldn't try one till your flow's heavy. It'll be your period though, I don't think breaking your hymen would cause you to bleed for that long..

it is most likely ur period. i am 13 and i started mine 24 months ago but mine only last for about 3 days witch is good. but i think it is ur period and all girls should wait about 2 months after they have started ur period so u dont hurt any of ur reprodution organs i waited 2 months and it doesnt hurt but u need to make sure u r on ur period for at these 2 times befroe u use tampons.

You do not say your age.

I guess you have caught yourself but do not worry yet.  best thing is to get it checked out by a nurse.

Do not meddle with your inside like that as it is precious and also very tender.

It was likely your period... unless your broke your hymen by trying to insert a tampon. But even then, you would only bleed for a day or two.

Never insert a tampon unless you are having a period (and a period heavy enough).

Well,I think it could be either,I dont know what your tampon could have done,but you should talk to your mom about a trip to the doctor,and remember dont insert a tampon unless your on your period.

i think this is your period, as a tampon wouldnt make you bleed for 5 days, Your first period is sometimes quite light in colour. I started mine when i was 13 years old, and it lasted a day, and was very light, god i was so scared, im now 27 years old, it makes me laugh how scared i was, but it just healthy and shows your growing into a woman! bless you XX

You have most likely started your periods but they could well be irregular to start with so make sure you have a tampon to hand as you could get caught out when the next cycle starts
