  1. No because then you will get pregnant x

  2. Maybe, maybe not. If you have not completed the first three months of this birth control method, you should wait it out until your body gets use to the change in hormones. You may return to your normal weight, or you may even lose some.

It depends on if the weight gain was totally due to the birth control or not, and without more information there is no way to tell. Also, different methods of birth control have different effects. If you would prefer to continue a birth control but feel that the weight gain was entirely due to the birth control method, consult with your physician. Some people claim to lose weight, some say they have gained, I haven't seen much changes from my birth control.

  3. A lot of the times BCP causes weight gain.  Going off of them you would most likely go back to your original weight.  I wouldn't advise you to do so, there is a reason that you were put on them in the first place.

  4. It is not a good idea to stop taking your birth control pills. Most b.c pills will make a person gain weight. Some will make you loose. How long have you been on your current prescription? That makes a difference.

If this is really a big issue with you I would go back to my health care provider that gave you the b.c. pills and discuss your concerns with him/her.

If you stop taking them you open yourself up for pregnancy, then you will really gain weight. I also hope that your sexual partner is using a condom, protect yourself against STD'S.

  5. Most doctors say that the whole birth control/weight gaining thing is a lie. They did tests with it, and decided that the BC wasn't what was causing the weight gain. People do change their weight naturally.... but I don't know for certain. Maybe it does cause it.
