I feel like I am stoned most of the time, no energy, and I wake up like 10 times during the night. Today (day 6) I woke up with extreme anxiety which went away shortly. I just need to know if the concentration and the zombie feeling will go away? Please tell me your experience with cymbalta in the beginning weeks if you have taken it, I feel like im going crazy!! Thanks!

  1. I felt the exact same way when I was on Cymbalta!!  I gave it 3 weeks and thought I was going to die.  Serious anxiety, these little brain *zings* and *zaps* that are hard to describe, inability to concentrate, etc., etc.,

My doc took me off of it immediately.  I was having all kinds of side-effects and I was absolutely freaking out.

We tried it again a couple of months later, just to see if it was a random thing, but nope......same side effects.

Works for some people, but for me, it was one of the worst drugs I've ever tried.

    Best of luck to you.

  2. I felt the same when I first started Cymbalta 30 mg.

Once I got up to the 60 mg. I was fine.

  3. This is a common problem with depression meds. Trust me get off them while you still can. I am comming off my medication now after being on it for 7 years. Please do yourself a favor and dont get wrapped up in this stuff the Phyciatrist tells you. Find a good therapist or a good pshycologist. Why should you have to sacrifce your brain and your health when there are so many better ways to fix it. Phyciatry is a pseudo- science. Google dr. peter Breggin. Trust me these medications can have serious consequences! I have been on them for 7 years. Dont do it to yourself. Trust me they will be nearly impossible to get off of, and you will experience alot of side effects. These medicinces are dangerous TRUST ME! These medication are brain disabling drugs. You dont have a chemical imbalance, ask the doctor how he knows that you have a chemical imbalance. Your brain is fine and normal. It just take some time to deal with problems that might come up in life. Search on you tube for phsycologist John Breeding. He has some wonderful insight into mental illness. Good Luck!

The feelings your having on cymbalta may subside a little more with time, but thew will probably not completely go away.

  4. Google the drug for side-effects and see your doctor about your medication and the dosages because it isnt helping you.
