Im on depo Provera birth control..can medication effect the birth control..?

I am taking tynenol 3 and Amixicillin Trihydrate ( medication for my tooth taken out) just wanting to know if this will effect my birth control Depo Provera.

How do I know that depo provera is working on me?

Those meds won't affect the shot. As far as how would you know that it is working, is if you don't get pregnant. Everyone's body is different, so it won't react the same. Even though it is rare, some people still get pregnant while on the shot. This might be TMI, but I have been on it for 4 years, been taking anticiotics off and on, takign pain pills everyday for tooth and headaches, missed the shot for like 6 months(2 visits), and still haven't gotten pregnant, I just had a 2 month long period.

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and that affects birth control. Your birth control becomes active again 7 days after you take your last dosage of antibiotics. They should have explained this to you when you got the medication.
