  1. I would say by grade 6 you should definitely have your own skates, but a dress is unnecessary until you do competitions.

My skates are Graf of Switzerland Arosa G which I bought off ebay (Shh I was a bit poor lol) and they were a great bargain, so I wouldn't hesitate in reccomending you buy from there if you're a bit short of cash.

Also once you get abit further I would say to invest in some jogging bottoms or something to aid flexibility, you don't want to try doing a drag in jeans, its not pretty and kind of hurts!

  2. Heya, iam on gold pasport, whih follows the skate uk levels :) Yes its ideal to get your own skates as you will progress better, white ones, figure skates. I recomend risports or jacksons. You dont need a dress but they are cute and cn improve your presentation. It can be any colour, basically pick one you like and buy it :)

  3. you should buy your own figure skates they should be white. if your feet are narrow i suggest the jackson skates if your feet are wide i suggest the gam skates. if your working on doubles get the freestyle blades if your working on axel and lower get the protege blades. if you wear a dress to practice it will help your performance. you can choose any colour. it doesn't matter.
