Im on welfare and was in an auto accident with my 2 mth old in the car, the guy is sueing me, i had insurance.

BACK IN MARCH I WAS GOING AROUND A BLIND CORNER WHEN TRAFFIC STOPPED, LEAVING ME TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AS SOMEONE CAME BACK INTO THE LANE CAUSEING ME TO HIT HIM. .I HAD MY 2 MONTH OLD IN THE CAR, I HAD TO TO GO THE HOSPITAL, SO DID THE GUY, AS HE LAUGHED WITH THE PARAMEDICS THE WHOLE WAY THERE I WAS IN PAIN, LATER TO FIND FROM THE CT SCAN OF MY BRAIN, THAT I HAVE A BRAIN TUMOR. I AM 19 YEARS OLD, ON WELFARE, AND HAVE A DISABILING SPINE DISEASE AND NOW THIS, I HAD INSURANCE, AND NOW THE GUY IS SUEING ME.. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, HOW CAN HE SUE, IF I HAVE NOTHING, I HAVE NO MONEY, SINGLE MOM LIVING WITH GRANDPARENTS, AND HAVE HAD NO CAR SINCE THE ACCIDENT.. MINIMAL DAMAGE TO HIS CAR, BUT IS NOW SUING ME? WHAT CAN HAPPEN WITH THIS? AM I DOOMED?

Your insurance should take care of it.  Talk with your insurance agent who can explain things better to you.  Unless he had major medical problems derived from the accident, he won't have a strong case against you.

What difference does it make if your 2 month old was in the car, unless she was driving? I'm sorry for your troubles. Let your insurance company handle it.

don't worry about it. Just let the court or their lawyers know you have nothing and they wont go after you since theres no assets to go after. No lawyer is gonna waste time on that. They will go after the insurance company but that's not you. Relax.

he most likely is not suing you but rather your insurance for damages,medical bills,and punitive damages. if you had insurance which you say you did you will be fine

All things work together for good, for those who love God. You are probably expecting a more practical asnser, and you're probably thinking 'How can such a loving God let me go through this'. Well, you have nowhere else to turn, so give your life to him. Things may be difficult now, but He will carry you through.

Now here is your practical answer. If you offered to cover damages through your insurance, that should be your first point in court. If he sues for pain and suffering, see if you can get some of the paramedics as witnesses so you can show the judge he was not in pain. Since he is sueing you, don't be afraid to counter-sue. Also remind the court that although he had minor damages, you now lack transportation. This guy sounds like a **** to me.

You need a lawyer.  Dont settle with the insurance companies because they wont do you justice.  With a lawyer you may be able to prove he was at fault and may be able to counter sue.

This guy is what you would call an idiot.  Sure, he can sue you, you can sue him, and you can both sue me.  That doesn't mean anybody's going to win.  Don't let him scare you.  Tell him he can try, but he can't get what you don't have.  

He probably saw too many lawyer ads on TV, and thought this was his opportunity to cash in.  

If he does sue you, look at it like a huge paperwork exercise.  Don't look at it like doom and gloom.  Just take care of business quickly.
