Im on windows vista, and my current DirectX is DirectX 10, How do i change it to DirectX 9.0c?

I need to somehow change it if its possible so that i can go on the sims 2 game, or do i have to buy a new video card or something with it already built in? Help would be muchly apreiciated. Thanks.

DX9 is for XP and DX10 is for Vista Editions.

You can't. Vista comes with DX10 installed and you can't downgrade it.

Why would you want to change it, 10 is the most recent version. Enjoy it or if you are having problem with it let us know.

sims 2 needs directx 9.0 or above, the one you have is ok
