  1. Your the perfect age to get into playing any sport; and tennis in particular is awesome to learn, practise and play. Your never REALLY too old to begin trying out a sport. I say go for it; a few years of hard commitment and practise and you will be better for it.

  2. never to old.

rafael nadal really got into tennis at age 12

my coach played pro and he started at age 13

  3. lol no your never to old to start! its a great game and lots of fun

  4. you are not too old you dont need o be skinny and you dont need a specific racquet just not a wooden one.

i started when i was 13, a freshman and it was really fun.  now im 14 and im pretty good.  ive gotten a lot bettter and im competing with people who have played a lot longer than me.  its super fun.  all you need is someone to tell you how to do a topspin shot and your set.  you meet new people and find something to do in the summer

  5. Well ur never really old to start playing anything, if you like the game then go for it, nothing should stop you from playing a game you enjoy! Just practice alot if u feel ur behind, which I doubt because if u like playing then u shouldnt be behind. Hope it works out!!

  6. well i'm 11 and i started when i was ten and i'm super good because i always practice plus i want to be pro!! so if i was you i would go to the gym every single day and practice tennis every day too. good luck!

  7. No I started when I last year and I'm 16!! Just get a good coach and practice really hard. I play on my school tennis team and I started at the very bottom and made it itno the top 5 of the JV so no you aren't too old, Nadal started tennis when he was 12 so you should be good.

  8. Go ahead and by all means start playing tennis right away.

Go to a tennis court or club house with such facilities near your place & ask if you could join a beginners group.

Or go to a sports shop that sells tennis rackets & ask them if there are tennis clinics for beginners like your age  bracket.

Nike, Dunlop usually sponsors such tennis clinics & sports activities to promote their products.

I once enrolled my 12 yr old daughter in a Milo tennis clinic & right now she's an ace player of her age group at 14.

    Good luck & have fun

  9. ehh, i started around ur age. i was a bit chubby, but if u work ur *** of ull be good. itll take u 4 years to be a dominant satallite-open player tho. thats a minimum. and racquet? it doesnt really matter, use on that works for u
