  1. Your supposed to turn it in, but I kept mine just for memories. Unless if you retire you will not get any other ID. If you are in the IRR, then you would get an ID.

You can get a VA ID card through the Department of Veterans Affairs.

  2. You should have turned it in when you went through out processing.

  3. You where supposed to had done that at your final meeting with PSD. And from there they issue you your 180 medical ID for continued care. But I think it also depends on how many years you served. I did 10 in the Navy, so I didn't have to do reserves. But if you did under 4 (if I'm not mistaken) you still owe uncle sam some time. Which it might be the reason why you still have your CAC card. But even then it should say reserves and not active duty. I think you had a "Cluster Fck" handling your speration Devil Dog. You might wanna contact your the person who signed your final seperation paperwork and see what the deal is. You sould still have access to a post, but I don't think you should have the same CAC.

  4. As part of your discharge, you were supposed to have turned in your active-duty military card and been issued an Reserve (or Inactive Reserve in my case). I was in 6 years and for the last 2 I had a pink card (active duty then for me was green).

I was never asked to give my pink card back but last time I went to Camp Pendleton the MP tried to take it from me as it had expired. I asked him to cut me a break as, like Lavadog said, I wanted it as a memento. He let me keep it.

  5. Your supposed to send it to your former admin office..I can not believe you got out of the USMC and you do not know what to do with your ID..

And I am not aware of another ID that you get when you EAS unless you join a reserve unit.
