  1. I happen to have a book titled "Your Name in Cherokee" by Prentice Robinson. I checked for your name but it is not in the book. The names below are the closest I could come....

Cathleen - ge da li ni - pronounced (g*y la leen)

Kylene     - ga li ni        - pronounced (ga lay nee)

The author has "attempted to give the phonetic or tonal sounds one would use to pronounce an English name in the Cherokee Language."

You can find the Cherokee letter characters for these names from http://www.cherokee.org/Extras/Downloads...

  2. Names do not typically translate from English to Cherokee although you can check out this website http://www.native-languages.org/cherokee... for basic instructions on how to convert English writing to Cherokee.

Alternately you can use this website http://www.wehali.com/tsalagi/index.cfm?...

to translate common words from English to Cherokee
