  1. Moisturize!  Maybe some very gentle exfoliation.

  2. Moisturize as much as you can in the next few days.  Once the pain and itchiness parts go away, try to exfoliate gently.  And wear sunscreen from now on!

  3. You know I got a really bad sunburn a little while ago and I had to get my engagement pictures done a day after I started peeling and I needed to get rid of that. I went to Bath and Body Works and got a exfoliating scrub. I don't remember what it is called but it came in a blue tube and it'll say that it has little dissolving beads in it. It may also say that it get's warm to give you the being on a beach sensation. That worked well for me and my sister used it before her wedding also.

  4. Aloe! LOTS of ALOE! :-) Mary Lay makes an AMAZING after-sun aloe gel that is VERY soothing without being sticky! Helps heal the burn quickly. Go to marykay.com to find your nearest Mary Kay rep.

  5. Moisturize with lots of aloe, and avoid the sun. If you start getting blisters, see a dermatologist. If you're not red anymore, use a gentle peeling followed by a rich moisturizer every day.

If you get splotchy and need to cover it on the wedding day, get dermablend or normal foundation, and have a friend put it on you with a sponge after you put your dress on. Make sure you have a steady-handed friend do it, because it can stain your dress.I had tons of mosquito bites on my arms when I got married, and I wore a strapless dress, but foundation covered them just fine.

  6. Aloe, aloe, aloe. Get a big bottle of Solarcaine (at any pharmacy or grocery store), which has aloe for moisture and lidocaine to help ease the pain and redness.

If the burn is red and sore, DON'T exfoliate - that will only irritate it more. But if it's just dried skin, a light exfoliant (I like St. Ives scrub) will help, followed by a good moisturizer - look for something with vitamin e to prevent scarring and shea butter for richness.

Hopefully, in another week it will be gone. If it isn't, do what you can with makeup or self-tanner, and find someone good to photoshop the burn out of your photos.

  7. Take a warm bath with some olive oil in the water.  Soak yourself real good.  Then take a loofah sponge and exfoliate - if you have a body scrub or something you can use that too.  When you get out of the tub, before you dry off, rub olive oil into your skin, then pat dry.  Do this a couple of times and you should get all the dry skin off.

  8. Don't do anything yourself! You might get it even more irritated. Go to a dermatologist and they should find something proper for you to deal with it quick.

Until then just keep moisturizing with cold aloe gel or cream (put it in the fridge) and also very very very lightly ex foliate using a loofah and baby soap.

  9. exfoliate!!!  Body scrub and a good loofa.  Soak in the tub for a long time and then softly scrub it off.  Use lots of lotion morning and night, Aveeno for extra dry skin is great.

  10. gentle exfoliation and lots of moisturiser. Aloe or primrose oil are good.

    Good luck

  11. If you use aloe everyday two weeks from now you will be fine.

  12. exfoliate!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what possesses people to bake before the big day!

Two weeks should be good time for it to calm down! If it's still blotchy step up the make up package to air brushing (it's flawless) or invest in some good bronzer!!

    It will be FINE! ;o)
