Im planning on moving to California next year when i finish University? L.A or O.C? Help please?

So im From England and im going to move to California next year when i finish my degree. Ive always been attracted to Los Angeles or Orange county e.g. Newport Beach, Laguna Beach areas. I was wondering if anyone could help me out or offer any ideas on these areas. Any california residents or any body at all that could help would be brilliant. Cheers

Ocean CIty is far more laid back than L.A.  And much less expensive.

Those are all good cities, I'm in orange county pretty expensive, I love the newport beach area, costa mesa. Long Beach is good too (thats LA county).
