Im planning to buy either a PS3 or an XBOX 360..which one is could be worth buying and why?

I work with gaming systems and I personally recommend the XBOX 360 over the PS3 for a few reasons.  

1. The graphic POTENTIAL is technically better on PS3, but the system is so complex that in order to release the games at the same time as the 360, they sacrifice quality on the majority of their games so the 360 games actually have the most actual quality.

2. The Blu-Ray player is wonderful and the value couldn't be better (you get an excellent console and a Blu-Ray player for the price of the Blu-Ray player itself) BUT the Blu-Ray reader is very taxing on the drive and eventually burns the drive out on the PS3.

3. XBOX has better proprietary games.  (Matter of opinion.)

If you wanna check out the world of Blu-Ray (which I highly recommend) and you don't care about the possibility of a drive burning out (always get the extended warranty for both systems because they both have their technical issues) then the PS3 is going to be your best bet.  They both have pros and cons.  I personally think the 360 just has more pros.

i say the ps3 becouse it has bluetooth a blue ray dvd player buil in it and there is still alot of games to come out

I have an xbox 360 and i got the red rings of death. i had to send it away for 6 weeks. then i got it back and it was fine .......for a while. now i can't connect wireless devices to it and my fan is broken so i had to buy a tiny fan to put on it when i play otherwise it turns off. plus most of the games on 360 are available for the ps3.

They are both great,

dont let anyone tell you either one sucks, because both have their drawbacks

The PS3 is more costly, but they are technologicly superior.

The 360 has a better online system, and it has a wider variety of games, but it has been known to break at times, and many of the games are usually more mature.

Also the PS3's online is free while the 360's costs money if that matters

BUT dont be swayed, both are great systems.

xbox 360 is not worth you money. its a really crappy system cuz it gets the red rig of death and then ur whole system is broken and u have to sent it in.

so go with the ps3. it might be more expensive but its a better system and has great games

Xbox 360

These consoles are going cheap at the moment and offer a huge line of games now and up coming. There is the downside that hardware failure could happen with it and you may need a repair but even if it did need repairing, it would not match the price of the PS3.

I think the PS3 is mainly for Powerful Processing meaning that the thing is like a supercomputer, and this is used as i think intended with lots of companies. It just wasnt cut out for household gaming use. Although if bought you might find its a great system for playing HD Blu Ray movies, going wireless with Bluetooth and good eye candy graphical games (although the Xbox 360 and the PS3 have roughly the same graphics capability)

It is your choice and please use this as guidance, not as a immediate decision.
