  1. If you want to have a great college experience in Mexico I really sugest you cosider

    a) Tecnológico de Monterey Campus Monterey

    or

    b) ITESO, Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente, campus Guadalajara.

Both have really cool exchange programs, good level and an excellent study enviroment.

    Visit:

    www.itesm.mx

    www.iteso.mx

  2. ITESM, is one of best but its expensive, the ones that you mencioned are great universities.

The best is UNAM (universidad autonoma de mexico) but that one is not in Coahuila State, if you dont care where is located I recommend UNAM in Mexico City, UNAM is actually placed as one of the 100 best universities of the world and its ruled by the goverment so you dont pay much. Of course your SAT will help you, but it all depends on how much you get in the admission test and also how your grades are.

  3. Well first you will need to make your HS studies legal in Mexico, your grand parents can help you look for those tramits, .  Also to apply to a public University  you need to be  a Mexican national, since public college education has a lot of subsidise by the government. If  one of your parents is Mexican or you were borned in Mex, you can apply to Mexican citizenship and you will be able to study at a public University,

The best schools for comunication/ media are not the Public ones, most are private and expensive but less than in the USA.

    Private in Coahuila are:

    http://sitio.lag.uia.mx/publico/uia_lagu...

    http://www.itesm.edu

  4. Hi what's up, I study in Monterrey, I can recommend the universities of this city, and there are a lot of foreign students from other parts of Mexico (and a few international students as well)... so a couple of universities have housing on-campus, Universidad de Monterrey (www.udem.edu) and Tec de Monterrey (mty.itesm.mx), but those are private so it might be kind of expensive (tuition is around 5000 USD per semester). By the other hand, there is the public university, which is pretty cheap, almost free, and it's pretty big as well, the website is www.uanl.edu.mx, and it's a good university as well... the advantage of Monterrey is that is kind of close to the US and is pretty close to Coahuila, so you can be close to your family. I haven't being at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México), the only things that I've heard about it is that the campus is huge, and it has great architecture.... and Mexico City is extremely cheap, the subway costs 2 pesos (around 20 American cents)... but the problem is that México City might be insecure I think. Monterrey is very secure, I don't think you could have a problem... and as it's a big city, there is a lot of stuff to do. But by he other hand, I've been in in college in the US as well, and I like better the college experience down there, and you can get a scholarship or something... but you'll decide. Good luck searching :-)

P.S. I think that Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) accepts the SAT scores, but I am not sure... probably Tec does too.

  5. what about Universidad de Guadalajara (UdG) or Tecnologico de Monterrey campus Monterrey both would be close to your grand parents... Ä° think you have to take a test but also counts if you are able to pay the fees...there are also public universities where you can study this will ask fee if you are not Mexican citizen but very low comparing with the privates ones, just consider the fact that wherever you decide study your diploma would be valid in your country or not...this important to know unless you decide to settle down in Mexico for good.
