  1. It depends on the status of the person.

    I have friends - Moroccan Arabs - who have a high standard of living, they are highly educated and some work for the King. However, they do not brag nor boast, they have modest materialistic values ie sony TV, sky, Eat couscous around the table with all the family every friday. They have high family values and are strongly religious in a humble way.

    I have other friends who are quite poor. They are always welcoming, inviting, but live on a shoestring. If I am correct, the average daily living cost is 48 pence per day.

    If you are staying alone in rented accommodation on your stay you will find ie bananas 7Dh per kilo (49p) Milk 3Dh per half litre (21p ) Bread - one small round loaf - 1dh (7p) Tomatoes 6 dh per kilo (42p)

    A pleasant  hotel double room with breakfast included can be found for 350Dh (£24)

    It is not the standard of living but the cost of living you will find low.
