  1. post game stretching seems even more important. Gentle long holds.  Pre-game: run around the court a bit, nice and slow jog, then after about 5 minutes, stretch your muscles. Then jog a little in place and get ready to win!

  2. You should always stretch your legs, your arms, back etc

As for warming up your shots, just hit a few forehands and backhands from the base line and serve, volley, and overhead a couple balls.

If you don't play often, you cannot avoid being sore the next day. However, the soreness will go away after a couple days, so don't worry.

  3. Hopefully your Stretching thats the Best Medicine. Warm Up Completely from head to toes, Place your Hand behind your Head hold your Elbow and Pull on it for about 30 seconds do it for about five repetitions on both arms. Then bend down and Touch your toes with the tips of your Hands and do that for thirty seconds. then stretch your legs for 30 seconds each Leg. Make sure you do this After you finish playing...Its called a cool off work out. Ive played tennis for about 5 years and after every game i take a Cold Shower. I Feel Great in the Morning after that. so yeah. Just keep in mind that you need to (Stretch) Every time!!!

  4. stretches!

then after the match do "COOL DOWN"

cool down is like warm up but it does the other way around.. returning your body just like it is before your match starts...

    its basically simple stretches.. etc...

  5. Stretch. Don't bounce or pull. Just hold it. That is the most important thing in any sport.  Figure a solid 15 minutes minimum.  About 5 minutes per arms and 5 per legs and then 5 for back and shoulders.
