  1. drink something cold and lay on your side for a while

  2. You usually first feel the baby move between 18 and 22 weeks. Just lay in your bed and hold really still you can try a sugary drink to get the baby moving too, actually the baby is probably moving a ton you just cant feel it yet, its an amazing feeling though. Good luck.

  3. Intercourse. Seriously (don't boo me down for this). It stimulates the whole package and gets that kid moving. After-wards you and your partner can lay there with your hands on your stomach and feel him swimming around. It's also a great way to kick you into labor when that day comes.

  4. I am 19 weeks to and I started feeling it move at first while lying on my side/back at night. In the morning lie straight back and put your hand on your belly(the baby is situated about 3-5 fingers below belly button) and wait a while.

    The best is lying back!

  5. I found when you cough or do some sort of exercise mine likes to move alot.. im 18 weeks and i can feel it move constantly

  6. My little boy likes walks, always gets him going.  They say orange juice works (and has no caffiene) but I tried that before my last ultrasound and he slept the whole way through it.

  7. At 18 weeks, its hard to say where your little pumpkin is, because he's got a lot of room.

Poking my stomach has never once gotten my little bean to move. It's not an effective way of doing it.

Try drinking a full glass of cold orange juice. I usually drink a glass nad a half just to be sure. Sometimes ice water works too, but orange juice will release glucose.

Lay on your left side and wait.

I've found that if I'm engaged in conversation, my guy doesn't seem to want to move as much.

So I give myself some quiet time.

Sometimes you can get him to move by shining a flashlight at your tummy. Make sure it isn't a super-high voltage flashlight, you don't want to hurt his little eyes. Just a regular flashlight will do. But this is more effective if he's already moving and you want to play with it.

Give yourself time. Don't be discouraged if you don't feel movement right away.

    Good luck\!

  8. Right now, if it's your 1st child, you would only feel quickening, butterfly feelings... Im 20 weeks and i still just feel butterfly movements... The baby only moves whenever she wants to.. when i poke my stomach she doesn't move... weird.

  9. drink some caffeine. when i was pregnant and the baby wasn't moving a lot the doctor told me to drink a little caffeine
